Dry Masala Prawns


  • 500g Prawns (deveined, medium size)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon ShreeGun Prawn Masala
  • 1 teaspoon ShreeGun Gold Garam Masala
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 2 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 4-5 green chillies, chopped
  • Handful of curry leaves
  • 2 teaspoon whole cumin

      Cooking Instructions:

      1. In a large pot on medium-high heat, add the oil and heat until hot.

      2. Add the cumin, curry leaves, chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until onions turn lightly brown.

      3. Add the ginger paste, garlic paste and green chillies and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

      4. Add the chopped tomato and cook until it begins to soften.

      5. Add the prawns, ShreeGun Prawn Masala and salt to taste.

      6. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.

      7. Reduce to low heat and add the lemon juice and sprinkle ShreeGun Gold Garam Masala. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the prawns are cooked through.

      8. Serve hot with rice or naan.
