Spicy Mutton Curry (Homestyle)

Ingredients:

  • 1kg Meat (on bones, small portions)
  • 3 tablespoon of ShreeGun Meat Masala
  • 1 cup of Oil/Ghee
  • 4 Onion (medium, chopped)
  • 4 tablespoon Ginger (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoon yogurt
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions:

1. Heat mustard oil or ghee in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add the finely sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. Now Add the meat and cook until it changes colour.

2. In a bowl whisk together common spice powder (2 tbsp red chilli powder and 1 tsp of turmeric powder) and ShreeGun Meat Masala powder with ½ a cup of water. Pour in the mixture along with the finely chopped ginger and salt to the meat.

3. Stir in the plain yogurt and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Mix well until the spices coat the meat evenly. Add 2 cups of water and mix.

4. Cover the pressure cooker and cook on low-medium heat for about 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is tender. Allow the pressure to release naturally before opening the cooker. . Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

5. Garnish delicious meat curry with fresh coriander leaves (optional). Serve hot with steamed rice, naan, or roti.

Note: This recipe can be adjusted to personal preferences in terms of spice level and additional flavours. You may add 1 tsp of whole cumin, bay leaf and other whole spices as desired before sautéing the onions (at step 1).
